We had a wonderful time in Rome. The apartment was just excellent - everything was very convenient and we felt ourself very comfortable. Riccardo was vary helpfull too. Also, Nino was helping to find a shuttle-bus.
We were delightfull with apartment location - walk to Vatican, Piazza Navona, Panteon, S. Angelo. Lots of trattorias, pizzerias, restorans - very convenient.
Now, we're planning another visit to Rome, may be in October - November. So I browsed your website. However, I couldn't get rates. Can you remind me how to do that.

We stayed in this apartment for a week during the Christmas period...very close to the Vatican and easy access to piazza del popolo...we are a family of four and the apartment was conveniently located near the Vatican...we had many bars to have breakfast in the morning and there is even a great fresh food market closely that we purchased food and drinks on a daily basis...the via col del rienzo is a great street for shopping..rooms are large and the bathrooms are large and modern...a great alternative to a hotel..."

We received great service by all the staff I dealt with from Halldis, from the booking process to the check-in and check-out. Every of my questions, requests etc. was answered very quickly and efficiently and Marija really tried her best to find an apartement for us that suited our needs. We are a family of four with two teenagers who wanted enough space and a close location to Termini as we arrived by train from Venice. Nino was there on time to hand over the keys and explain the apartment and paperwork and gave us good tips what to do and where to go when he asked him questions. The apartment was in a very easy to get to location from the train station, not too far away from the underground and also very convenient to walk to most points of interest. There were also two supermarkets close - one at the train startion and an even better one in the next street. There were all the necessary dishes and pots and so on in the kitchen. The bedrooms were huge and the beds were fine. There was also a small washingmachine which was very useful.
Some appliances were connected a bit 'strange', may be not to the australian standard of safety but we managed. So, all in all we found it very good and it worked very well for our family and for what we needed."

La ubicación es perfecta, detrás de Galerías, a solo pasos de la Fontana de Trevi. El apartamento está perfecto, la cocina, el baño, el sofá cama, la calefacción, la vista. Todo!! Lo único malo es que justo debajo está un rest. y el ruido que hacen desde las 6am es horrible, hay que preguntar el horario del aseo porque es medio problemático sino lo tienes claro Pero bueno, nada que lamentar al final!!"

Nice ground floor apartment very close to the Vatican city and all the major attractions. Very safe neighborhood, there is a super market just around the corner and an excellent choice of restaurants nearby.
The apartment is perfect for 6 persons and the only downfall was that the nice little terrace at the back was not prim and tidy."

The apartment is nicely located near St Peter basilique, it is clean, comfortable and has all utilities and appliences, including Wifi. It its proximity one can find good restaurants and a Carrefour. It is best suited for small groups who are not afraid of the 10-15 minute walk to the subway.

"I would like to make a commendation. I stayed in Via caltagirone #15 from October19 to 29. everything was very good. Ricardo your representative is fluent in english, i had no problem communicating with him. and very punctual too. the place is nice, clean, orderly. the neighborhood is very pleasant with a supermarket (Despar)close by. I did not encounter any problem in my stay in this property, our group is well pleased. next time im in europe is shall always keep halldis in mind."

Fuimos atendidas correctamente en la hora pactada, nos dieron una caja de bienvenida con lo basico para una cena. La persona ha sido muy amable y cordial.
El depto contaba con todo lo necesario para pasar varios dias, desde lavarropas, plancha y obviamente los utensilios necesarios de una cocina. Fue como estar en tu propia casa.
La ubicación excelente, ya que la zona es muy tranquila, a una cuadra de via Venetto. De la cual podíamos acceder a pocas cuadras al metro de la estación Piazza Spagna.
También fueron puntuales al hacer el ckeck out ya que para nosotros era fundamental ya que debíamos tomar un tren por la mañana temprano.

The appartement lies in Trastevere, very nice region of Rome and it's a really nice appartement for 2 persons.
Everything of Rome is near, we walked much of the time.
Unfortunately the neighbours were very loud, one watched TV or listened to the radio the whole day.
But we would come back, because during the day we weren't there."

We have enjoyed immensely the apartment. It has a kitchen of the highest standards one could aspire for and cutlery, pots and pans and other kitchenry is of the highest standard.

The professionalism of the Hallis Staff is superb and they have done an excellent job in making us feel at home. The cleaning service each two weeks was impeccable and of the highest standard.

The location of the apartment is also excellent. There are numerous bus and train options that can place you in the center of Rome within 15 minutes.

The apartment was very comfortable and situated in an excellent location close to many attractions. There were numerous dining options with two restaurants virtually at the front door and many others nearby. It had a very large living area but the second bedroom is small. The only downside was we had problems with the hot water which although annoying would not stop us staying here again."

"Nice and comfortable apartment close to buses and metro

The apartement is nice, warm and comfortable ,it is placed in Prati near San Pietro so you can easily visit some parts of Rome simply
walking, if you want to use instead buses and metro there are both of them near the apartment. It was furnished with all stuffs
needed.Maybe a better wardrobe could be provided but this is only a detail."

En primer lugar agradecer al equipo de Halldis su excelente atención y en especial a Chantal Merlo que nos atendió on-line de
manera fantástica y a Francesco del equipo de check-in / check-out.
El apartamento ha estado reformado recientemente y su estado de conservación y limpieza es muy bueno. Para las tres personas
que nos alojamos durante cinco noches resultó muy cómodo en todos los aspectos.
El aire acondicionado en el salón y en la habitación de matrimonio ayudó a superar confortablemente el calor del mes de julio en
Roma. La única pega que podemos reseñar es la de la cocina, pues es muy pequeña, no dispone de extractor de humos y no existe
espacio para trabajar en ella.
También nos ha sido de mucha utilidad el wi-fi gratuito.
En definitiva, si no se pretende cocinar mucho, este es un buen alojamiento para dos o tres personas, excelentemente comunicado
y en un lugar con mucho encanto y vida como es Campo dei Fiori.

"Great location and friendly staff!

Nino was a great manager for the place! I stayed for a month at this apartment and loved it. It is small, but perfect for 1-2 people. Any
more would probably be too cramped. It is about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station (Lepanto), which gets you cheaply
right into the city. If you prefer to walk, it is only about 25 minutes to the center of town, just make sure to have a good map. It is also
close to a nice shopping area (Via cola di Rienzo), with a grocery store (supermercado). The restaurant (Al Palazzaccio) right below
the apartment has great affordable food. The apartment is about a 15-20 minute walk from the Vatican and Castel San angelo."

"We have LOVED the apartment. It was close to everything, whether business or sightseeing. Shopping for groceries or
great restaurants. Monti - that's the region to stay. The apartment was nicely equipped, clean, and quiet. Amenities were functional and maintained. If

"My husband and I (late 50's) stayed in this apartment for 9 nights. We were able to arrange an early check-in to accommodate our morning arrival from the U.S., and our Halldis contact Luca was prompt, courteous and very helpful in getting us oriented and settled.
The apartment was in an absolutely perfect central location right off the Campo dei Fiori, walking distance from all the major tourist sites. The neighborhood felt very safe with endless shops and restaurants that are active from early morning to late at night. Despite the lively location, the bedroom (with a very comfortable bed) faces an interior courtyard and is extremely quiet. The layout of the rooms is ideal … great separation for people on different schedules. We loved having the large dining room table to sit at when we were “home.” The living room is small and is a bit awkward for socializing. We had some trouble with the hot water … it would work for a while and then go cold, but we eventually figured out how to reset it while showering to keep it more or less warm all the time. The shower is quite small. The kitchen appears to be well-stocked though honestly we never cooked there with all the food nearby. No microwave oven. The clothes washing machine worked well--no electric dryer but the apartment has a nice big drying rack and the huge windows provide excellent cross-ventilation, so everything dried quickly. The internet was generally strong and consistent--we had just one morning where
it went out for a couple of hours. While the apartment says it accommodates 4 people (2 sleeping in the bedroom, 2 in the living room), you have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom, a privacy issue to consider if planning on 4 people sharing the apartment. We would definitely use Halldis again when traveling to any of their cities. They were quite responsive before and during our trip. The payment process was straightforward and efficient.

I have definitely enjoyed staying at the apartment, and every interaction with halldis
personnel. I will be returning to Rome several times over the next couple of years, and
have every intention of booking an apartment with halldis again, at this point.

My only issue with the apartment was the fact that there was no wireless internet... That
would have been a small expense, but would have improved my experience. I guess I'm
just use to it at this point almost every place I travel.... :-)

A very clean, well furnished apartment in a great location.Near to little markets, cafes, trattorias.Four adults stayed here easily.Lots of
night life nearby too.Seemed especially well suited for the under 40 age group.The only possible drawback was it was noisy at night
from all the local clubs.This apartment is one floor above a club with live music.Surprisingly, this didn't really bother me.I slept just
fine.The air conditioning was excellent, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bathrooms were super great with plenty of hot
water.I would love to stay here again if I have the opportunity to visit Rome again."

This apartment is close to everything in central Rome...Piazza Navona is just a little over a block away and Piazza Farnese with a
morning outdoor market just a few steps away. The check-in process was smooth, although beware of weekend check-in extra
charges and taxes per day/per person to be paid up front when you check-in. The apartment was clean, and had all the amenities
described in the website all at a reasonable price. The apartment is on a first floor in a residential building so it took me some time to
adjust, as I heard the noise from upstairs and had to comply with the garbage disposal rules, which I believe is great but not on
vacation. Certainly you get the true roman experience! I will recomment this apartment/Halldis to others looking for accomodations in
Rome."

My stay was amazing. The apartment was very near the St Peters Square and the museum. Lot of shopping below and the rooms
were just great. Very bright rooms and I like the concept of Kitchen and Dining in the mezananine above."

"A wonderful flat, fun location, quiet and comfortable

My friend and I enjoyed our 2 bedroom flat in the Monti neighborhood. We literally walked everywhere, even in the month of February.
The flat was very quiet and peaceful, yet the neighborhood had many great restaurants, galleries, shops and bars. We also took
advantage of the Halldis car service to and from DaVinci airport and it was very convenient. My only complaint was lack of wireless
internet, but I was forewarned, and Halldis did provide me with the use of a USB wireless device so it all worked out. One
improvement might be a few extra linens for guest use in the apartment but that was a very small thing and easily dealt with."

"Best Location in Rome

Apartment is exactly as described, great local supermarkets and restaurants, very short walk to most attractions, hop on/off bus pick
up close by. Downside is the lack of an elevator, while I normally walk mulitple flights of stairs while traveling, these were steep with
poor lighting. The up side of that is that after having wine on the terrace I perfered to cook some quick veal rather than make another
trip up and down the steps which saved a lot of money.

"Comfort and Convenience

We stayed at this property for two months in the Fall, 2011 and almost three months in Spring 2012. Excellent location with easy
access to metro and close proximity to markets. The Colosseum is a 20 minute walk. The quiet courtyard and balcony is a refuge
from city life. The apartment is adequately supplied for self-sufficiency. The staff made check in/check out a breeze."

We (5 of us) spent 5 wonderful days in the eternal city in May 2012.
The apartment was absolutely perfect for visit to Rome - spacious, immaculately clean, full kitchen, 2 baths, air conditioning, high
quality furniture, beautifully decorated, internet access.
The location is superb, less than a 5 min. walk to to the Cavour Metro stop, restaurants, shops, everything one needs. Don't miss

This apartment was very comfortable and clean. It is essentially two bedrooms, a kitchen w/ adequate equipment, an outdoor terrace,
a very small entry and a bathroom. There is a shower in the bathroom best suited to those small in stature. The location of the
apartment is within easy walking distance of the Vatican. There is a butcher and grocer across the street and a fresh pasta shop
around the corner."

Nice apartment with perfect location close to Piazza Farnese and Capo di Fiori. The bedroom is three steps down from the living room
and no door, but for us it was not a problem since we travelled with a 3 month old baby."

"Our magical stay in Rome
We stayed in apartment id 2452. This apartment was exactly as shown on the website - no suprises (except good ones). It is bright and cheery. It is spacious, clean, and functional. We had everything we needed there.
The best part was the beautiful little lane it was located on. So charming and romantic. There were 3 fabulous restaurants within a 1 minute walk on this lane. Halldis was very good to work with. Chantal on the booking phone made us feel confident that we could do this. Nino (our man in Rome) met us and welcomed us to the apartment. He was very professional and made sure everything worked as it should before he turned us loose. He was easy to communicate with, available by phone when we had questions, flexible with meeting our schedule, funny, and all in all - adorable. We felt in very good hands with Nino.
This was our first time in Rome and we could walk everywhere from this apartment. There was also a close Metro stop at Barbarini.
The only drawback was that since we were very close to Trevi Fountain, the neighborhood was crowded and noisy - but not ever on our little street. The good part of this was that we could get gelato within minutes by popping out onto the main street. We would use Halldis again and stay in this apartment again. We were very pleased."

"Center city accommodation
The apartment itself is excellent, very up-to-date, and conveniently located in the Centro Historico. It appears to be a complete rennovation in an older building, and it features great facilities. The kitchen was well equipped with microwave, pod coffee maker, five-burner gas stove and electric range, and a full-sized refrigerator with ice-maker and water dispenser.
The bathroom were very up-to-date.
The down side also deals with location. First of all via Celsa is a much used connection throughout the day by pedestrians and at night with some car and motorcycles traffic. Secondly, the apartment is located beside a theater-night club and often has rock music until after midnight. We knew the later when we rented, so we brought earplugs that helped a little. But the location would not be good for light sleepers or for children who might be disturbed by the sounds from the club."

Dear Chantal, thank you for your email and for making easier our stay in Rome; regarding your request that I give my imput in connection with the apartment and your services I am very pleased to tell you that Halldis staff and services are excellent and yours are even better: you are patient, kind, competent and you seem to like your job which is a very good combination for you and for your employer as well.
The apartment is very good, clean, roomy and confortable, in a very good palazzo and location, within walking distance of everything that matters in Rome (for me at least); however there small things that are not good at all: the shower curtain which is dirty, stained and seems to be very old and the blankets that are dusty, rough and not of a good quality. These are minor things that can easily be solved which I strongly suggest that Halldis or the owner do in the near future because I would like to rent the apartment for the month of June if possible.

The apartment is very centrally located in Rome, with walking distance practically to most of the attractions in Rome. The Vatican is about 15 minutes walk, Piazza del Popolo is about 7 minutes walk. The apartment has all that is required including a washing machine and an iron, hence making it possible to take less clothes.

"Very good family alternative with parking space - North Rome

* It seems the buildings are the original ones constructed for the Olympic Games in Rome (70´s), so not very appealing from the outside, specially during winter.
* Inside, the flat is as what we saw at the web site. Everything new, remodeled in 2010 (even new windows). Very spacious for the european standards, can accomodate up to 6 people very comfortably. The heating works perfectly as well as all home appliances, except the faucet of the master room which was not working well.
* The laundry room was a plus specially when traveling with children.
* Bed linens were new and very white, lovely for a good night sleep.
* The parking space is a must considering the lack of parking spaces for other rental alternatives in Rome.
* The flat is 15 minutes by car from the major Rome's attractions
* Check in process was very smooth and with no delays.

Some suggestions
a) Freshen up the unit and turn on the heating (in winter) a day before the guest arrive. The flat was clean but no doubts it has been closed with no guest for some weeks so the floors have some dust.
b) Add more towels (only one medium size towels available for each guest)
c) Please add some kitchen cloth (we had to use one towels until we were able to purchase one!)
d) we would have loved to have a toaster for morning breakfast instead of a rackelet...
d) Complimentary toilet paper. We arrived on December 24th, at almost 8 pm after a 13 hrs flight. Supermarkets were closed until December 27th. So, an extra coulple of toilet paper supply would have saved us from searching around for an open store for hours!!
e) a few complimentary tablets for the dishwashing machine would have been welcome too, specially for those who stay a few days (5 nights) and when supermarkets are closed (christmast) f) Wi-fi should be included within the rental price."

"Convenient and comfortable
A comfortable and well-decorated little apartment in a very quiet street, very convenient for public transport. Food shopping not quite so convenient, but Testaccio market is only 10-15 minutes walk. Interesting area for restaurants, nightlife and historical sights of all ages. Halldis management responded excellently (quick and friendly) to a couple of minor problems that occurred."

Our appartment was comfortable and in a great position but faced the main road so general city action invaded our living space at times when we needed a break from the madness. The bedroom was away from the road so sleep was fine.

"Beautiful, large, modern very well loocated apartment
I spent a week at Via Celsa with my family. The apartment has been totally reburished and looks brand new. We were very impressed when we walked into the apartment. It is large and spacious with all the mod cons. It is very well located with a great cafe downstairs, supermarket around the corner and very close to major attractions including the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Rome."

The only caveat not mentioned in the description is that there is a 95 step (5 floor) climb up. "Far away from tourist areas but close enough
My mother and I loved this appartment. The metro was very closed and we were on the main line for all the tourist sites we want it to see. At the same time, we were in a area where people lives, far from the busy tourist area and we could see the difference reflected in prices and great service in restaurants close to the house. We felt a bit like locals when at night, we could hear neigbours talking to each others from their balcony. Love it."

"The perfect apartment. I stayed here for a month in September(2011) and this place met and then exceeded all my expectations. A truly beautiful, immaculately clean spacious 1 bedroom which could not be more centrally located in the heart of Rome at an astonishingly low rate. The price for value ratio of this apt is fantastic. The apartment has spectacular huge shuttered windows overlooking Via Della Penna and the bedroom has french doors leading to the outdoor terrace, and the bathroom even has a large window opening onto the terrace. It is true the 5-floor walk-up is somewhat of a daily challenge, but if you are reasonably in-shape it shouldn't be a serious obstacle. The kitchen is small but functional and served it's purpose nicely. Halldis was a delight to do business with, professional, friendly, helpful, attentive and efficient. Why would you stay in a small windowless hotel room far from the historical center costing a small fortune when for a mere fraction of the cost you could stay here for a month as I did. I could not have been happier staying here. I will repeat...the perfect apartment."

"Surpassed our expectations
I was met by friendly, helpful Nino when I arrived at Via Celsa # 3. My husband joined me the following day for our first trip to Rome. We had no idea that this apartment was so central, but we found out as we walked through the streets of Rome over the next week, that we could not have chosen a better location even if we had known our way around!
The apartment is beautifully appointed, with modern, clean, tasteful furniture. The gorgeous Siematic kitchen is a cook's delight and we enjoyed being able to walk a short distance to the Compo di Fiori market and buy fresh fruits and veges of a very high calibre. It was also important that we could prepare some of our own meals with great ease.
We loved the feeling of being able to unpack fully, spread out in comfort and really feel as though we lived in Rome (albeit briefly).
The two bathrooms were gorgeous and, though smallish, were clean, modern, worked well (something that does not always happen in Europe we have discovered) and suited us perfectly.
It was important for us to have internet included(we both needed to work) and also to have an in-house clothes washing machine. I loved hanging our laundry outside the dining room window on a line 3 stories up.
We had "our own" ruins outside the dining room window and down the stairs.
There was occasional noise at night from the lively streets, but the apartment is extraordinarily sound proof.
The aC was a blessing since it was around 28-32C most days.
The only thing that did not work was the elevator which was being worked on intermittently for the entire week. We are fit, able and welcomed the exercise, but it could be a problem for people with mobility issues. If you are considering renting this lovely apartment and have mobility issues, make sure the agency checks on the elevator before you arrive.
We were so sorry to leave and look forward to a return in as short a time as possible.

The appartment was perfect for our needs - very clean and fully equipped (worth the expense in our mind). Location was excellent - walking distance to all major attractions. Elevator was unfortunatly out of service - but it was only a minor inconvenience. The appartment is located 2 floors above a night club that was open a couple of nights until the early morning - a bit noisy those nights. There was also a great little cafe as well which was great in the mornings and a small restaurant. It was very hot and the air conditioning was great to have after a long day of touring. Having access to the computer was also awesome. The beds were a bit hard for our liking. But overall we were delighted with the accomodation and simple and timely check in and check out process - I would highly recommend this to anyone."

Had washing machine and outside line for drying clothes. Internet service was available for a very reasonable fee. Staying with family and kid in Rome for two weeks almost, needed an affordable-kidfriendly apt,at a nice neighborhood and close to public tranportation.That is exactly what our appartment was.
The only problem was that there was no internet line and had to pay extra 30 euros for mobile internet.
In conclusion our accomodation was a big advantage to our vacation."

"Great location in Rome
The apartment is in a quiet piazza just around the corner from the Trevi Fountain. It is a great location and we were able to walk everywhere. The kitchen and laundry appliances met our needs and the terrace out the back provides extra space even if just to hang the washing. The sofa bed was adequate for one adult. Supermarkets are close by. The TV does not get any reception which did not bother us but better to know up front. Wifi is available for a small fee. We would stay here again."

"We lived at this apartment for 5 weeks while working on an archaeological dig at Ostia antica. It is convenient to Piramide/Porta San Paulo stations, which was good for this. It is quite a long walk to the nearest grocery store and there are no alimentari in the area. This is unfortunate at the end of a long day. The place itself is well appointed and the upstairs roof deck is fantastic. Nino, the Halldis staff who checked us in and out, was extremely helpful and efficient. We have never rented from a more professional company in Rome."

"Lovely
The staff from Haldis were extremely professional, helpful and flexible at check-in and check-out and I would recommend them to anyone. The information and photos on the website are an accurate portrayal of this apartment, except that is extremely dark, not light at all. The kitchen is extremely small but functional. No oven but a microwave. Needs 4 bowls for breakfast cereals. As others have mentioned the shower is ridiculously small, my husband literally could not fit in the cubicle but he simply used the other bathroom. Having a washing machine and not having to pay horrendous sums for laundry compensates in my book for other shortcomings. As we are a family of 2adts/2chd (9&12) it suited us to eat lunch out and we had breakfast/dinner. The area has a good choice of specialty stores and a good supermarket literally around the corner. The location is excellent though noisy with the windows open during summer. Be warned that one neighbour was a bit of a peeping tom. We found it easy to walk to any of the historical sights (we are used to hot weather) or catch local buses to/from the main road - Victor Emmanuelle II. Very inexpensive places to eat nearby. Wi-fi is readily available throughout Rome at cafes and restaurants, so that was not an issue for us. We booked late and therefore there were not as many 2 bedroom apartments in the historical centre within our budget available for the dates we required. We would recommend staying in the area."

With easy access from the rental to all areas of Rome via Metro and bus service, we did more in site seeing then our itinerary provided. The rental was very comfortable and secure. "Perfect apartment for 4 in real Roman neighborhood near the Vatican
The apartment was perfect for our small group of 4 women. We were a little worried about not being near the city center, but once we got to the apartment, that disappeared. The apartment is located in a 'real' Roman neighborhood where you won't find many tourists, and we liked that. Some might find it a little noisy with cars driving by, dogs barking, etc., but we enjoyed the atmosphere of the neighborhood.
The apartment was air conditioned which was needed in the Rome summer heat. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to prepare a few meals with food purchased from one of the markets in the area. The balcony was great to sit on in the morning before we started our day and in the evening at the end of our day.
There are busses that past the apartment all day long making it very easy to get to the Metro if you want to take the train or just transfer to another bus to get to your location. We liked taking bus #913 or #999 from the apartment to Cipro station then taking bus #492 to the city center. Make sure you get a bus route map to determine your destination route. We also just liked getting on a bus and seeing where it would take us. We found the Colosseum like this on bus #85. Purchase your daily or weekly bus pass at a tabacchi shop to get you around. There is one next to the apartment building to the left after exiting the gate. It can be used on the bus and Metro. Ocassionally they have people on the busses checking tickets. One lady was fined 50 euro for no ticket and had to pay on the spot.
Try the pizzeria across the street to the left called Saimo Noi(?). Only the owner speaks a little English, but everyone was extremely friendly. The calzones and pizza were very good. Also try San Marco restaurant in the Via Veneto area (bus #52 or #53). They have a nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff.
For leather goods, take bus #492 to Gerard Leather Fashion at Piazza San Silvestro. Gerard speaks English very well, is extremely friendly, and is a wealth of information. He can provide directions, recommendations, etc..
I can't wait to go back to Rome, but not in the summertime."

"Bright comfortable refuge 96 steps up.
An Ikea model home with windows on 3 sides and everything I needed - dishes, pots, good aC in both rooms, a cute effective little washer, drying rack, good wi-fi internet, an intimate little porch and double paned windows to keep out the noise. It should be billed as a Piazza del Poppolo location, since it's 1/2 block from there, and perhaps 10 blocks from the Spanish steps. The check in and out went quite smoothly, although the extra fees (due to the Sunday check-in and 7 am check out) from the fine print of the contract surprised me.
As previously noted, the stairs help offset the pasta and gelato!"

"The location of this flat is absolutely great. Via Guilia is a wonderful old roman street, with nice shops and some small restaurants. The flat is quite old fashioned, but still still very charming. It is 3 minutes from Piazza Farnese and Campo de Fiori - both places have their own charm."

"Lovely experience
We arrived in Rome after a 9 day cruise through the Mediterranean. Chantal had arranged to hace us picked up at the port and brought directly to the apartment which saved us so much hassle! She was a dream to deal with as we were doing everything via e-mail. The apartment is in a phenominal location. When theyh say within walking distance to everything, they mean it! The beds were comfortable and the apt was just right. A home away from home.Nino was absolutely wonderful. He gave us some tips. We really enjoyed him. "Great apartment in terms of its location. Very quiet and close to all the major tourist attractions.
Living room is huge and very comfortable, so is the main bedroom. The second bedroom and the kitchen are very small. Not ideal if you intend to do much cooking. Not that you would need to considering the close proximity of very nice restaurants."

"Dear Chantal of Chiara, First of all I was imressed by the professionality of your service. ( also from Nino) The apartment is all right, but very simple furnished. It lies in a pleasant neigbourhood. My proposals to improve: a new sofabed, because this one doesn't sit and it doesn't sleep. More little hooks in the kitchen to hang your towels etc. In the bathroom a connector between the hairdryer and the switch, because now I had to walk to the kitchen to dry my hair. With this it would be fine for me. Hopefully till next year."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Piazza Scanderbeg. The location was near the Trevi Fountain. We had some initial probles with the internet and dishwasher, but the staff quickly corrected them. We can certainly recommend this group for any stay in Rome."

"Fine experience in Rome
The apartment was comfortable, and the kitchen is adequate if small. Sleeping arrangements were good (bunk bed in one room and a double in the other). It was remarkably quiet after 8 or so, especially since the apartment is only a half of a block from via Corso. It is an extremely convenient location, with bus stops within two blocks and a subway a five minute walk away. The new flat screen TV is cable connected, but offers only five or six Italian-language stations. Internet works fine. Overall the apartment, its facilities and location, added to the fine time we had in Rome. The folks at Halldis could not have been better."

"Memorable.
I've always enjoyed Italy, and this trip was no exception. Everything about the apartment was near perfect. Although its now coming to about 3 weeks since our return and I've yet to see the return or refund of my breakage deposit.
Perhaps this is where your service can improve. Otherwise, the locality, the service, and the comfort of the apartment, apart from the excellent food and very friendly Romans that we had met [with the exception of one taxi driver and one Roman conman in front of the Pantheon posing as a gladiator], we had a ball of a time in your beautiful country.
I shall definitely return to Italy.

"Very spacious and good location
Overall a lovely spacious apartment. Some of the lovely elegant looking furniture was a little wobbly and were afraid it might break. Generally quite clean. Great location and although not a short stroll, we were able to walk to all the major sights. The furthest was the Colosseum which was a 45min walk. The beautiful Borghese gardens and great shopping very close. Quite noisy at night though. Halldis representative was punctual and very helpful."

"We were very happy with the accommodation, and with the Halldis service. In regard to Halldis, Riccardo was excellent, in meeting us for check-in and showing us the apartment and for the check-out. The 5 flights of stairs requires one to be able-bodied. As a plus, it was really good for getting fit. It is useful to know that the phone for answering the front door and letting the person in remotely is on the wall behind the door leading from the living area to bedroom and bathroom (it is easy to miss and then you have to go down to let the person in - and come back up again!)"

"The apartment was more spacious than we had expected, and very attractive. It was charming, and the kitchen lent itself to our family cooking at Christmas and New Year, although we could have done with a few more pots a roaster, and a kettle. However, we accept that not everyone visiting Rome plans to cook very much.The problems we ran into right away were the shower and the hot water. That was corrected - a new shower head put in, and the heating explained to us - that did not happen when we arrived because we were delayed by bad weather in Frankfurt. The surprisong thing was the fact that there was no plan to replace towels for us, even though we were there from December 21st to January 2nd. I had forgotten that in the contract it stated one got clean linens if one was there a month! Other members of our family were staying in a hotel close by, and the apartment was a good centre. It is wonderfully situated, and we have no complaints beyond these so far listed, which, in the scale of things were not major. I would recommend a change in the linen policy, however - our beds were changed, and clean, dry towels delivered eventually. Rome is a wonderful city, and I would recommend this apartment with the addition of a clean linen run, even for a week's stay."

"A very good experience
We were delighted with booking an apartment through Haldis. My only comment was in the weeks leading up to the visit, in trying to contact Haldis, I was never sure whether I was speaking to Rome, Milan or Tashkent ! It would be nice to have just one person, a client-link to whom questions etc can be put.
We'd particularly like to thank Francesco who met us at the apartment and spend time with us explaining how to shop, where to go, how to get around Rome. He was also contractable during the week of our stay in Rome and responded to our questions etc, finally coming to the apartment to see us into the taxi back to the airport.
Haldis will know we arrived a day late, delayed by snow. It would have been an encouraging courtesy to have had that one day rental taken off the bill.
I will certainly use Haldis again."

"Everything about the apt was fine.
It was in close enough walking distance to the Colosseum, the Roman forum, and even Piazza Venezia. The only drawback was that there were 76 steps between our level and via Cavour which had the closest super mercato, and other stores. We could walk an extra kilometer to avoid the steps but didn't.
The Colosseo metro is close. Be sure to take the escalator up from the metro to avoid a climb. The escalator is also convenient in returning from the Colosseo level. There are two nice restaurants about a block away, but the three cafes next the the apt do not cook very well. We had a great time."

"We had a wonderful 6 days stay in Rome, thanks to the flat.
The management was flexible. Due to our flight times we could already check in at 11:00 and check out int the late afternoon. The location of the flat is just perfect. Everything you need, shops, market, restaurants are in the reach of a 5-10 minutes stroll. A bus stop with major lines is just round the corner. The location allows you to walk to most of the major attractions of Rome. The flat gave us the feeling of a real home. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, also we preferred to take our dinners in one of the neighborhood restaurants which are frequented mostly by the locals and very few tourists. There is only one advice for the reader of this review: Go for it!!"

"Style and class in a fabulous location
We could not have been happier with the apartment. Roomy and elegant, with a well equipped kitchen and two bathrooms. The location is great - everything is within walking distance and there is a market two blocks away. Francesco met us, took us to a parking garage (20 Euros per day) and helped us back with our luggage.
I would love to stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it."

Everything was as described. We were met by Mr. Attolini's parents who showed us the accommodations and made sure that we understood where everything was. Only steps away from the Vatican museum entrance, restaurants and grocery stores. A maximum $15 taxi ride to major attractions, which when traveling with 4 is as cheap as the metro that is also located close. Nice size and well equipped apartment. One caution the hide a bed is not that comfortable or sturdy. The shower door was broken when we were there but hopefully will be attended to. Very safe, secure place and a lovely apartment."

"Exactly as described, highly recommended
Francesco and his parents both helped us on our arrival, which was marred by pickpockets on the Rome underground. Francesco's parents went to the trouble of driving us to report the theft and even made sure we were attended to. How nice of them was that. The apartment and its location was excellent. We would be very happy to stay there again.

"Great Location, Home away from Home
This was our first trip to Rome (or Italy) and we totally lucked out on our rental apartment. For two couples the two bedroom/large beds and two bathrooms were ideal! On top of that, the location was perfect for walking to just about every site in Rome and we were pleased to note that the end of the street was also one of the bus stops for a Hop-On/Hop-Off tour we had booked. How convenient. Added to all of this was the beauty of the apartment...so well decorated and appointed. We couldn't have done better. When we return to Rome we will definitely stay at this location again."

"We had wonderful vist to Italy. One of the best lodgings we had was the Apartment in Rome. What a wonderful city, so many interesting and beautiful sites to see. This apartment in Rome was great, it was in a perfect location, it is one block to the Metro Station, one block to the Colossieum, two blocks to the Roman Forum, a 5 minute walk to the basilica San Pietro in Vincoli where the statue of Moses is, a 15 minute walk to the Holy Steps and the original Vatican and the Basilica San Giovanni in Laterano. I could go on, but this apartment was perfect, very clean, updated, and secure. A few feet from the front door, there are four cafe's, where you can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Around the corner is a fabulous restaurant named Oppio Caffé a bit more upscale. We very much appreciated having the apartment and want to say thank you to Chantal who stayed in contact with us before we arrived and Francesco who took excellent care of us once we did arrive."

"Very clean, in the midst of the old city, easy walking distance of groceries, busses and the Metro. Quiet, although just around the corner from the Trevi fountain. We enjoyed the terrace quite a bit. The church bells ringing the hours and half hours were quite pleasant.

The people from the management company were wonderful. Our checkin and checkout times and days were a bit non-standard and Francesco was able to accomodate us, which was great (we were lucky, it might not always be possible)."

Can accomodate four people without problem.
Check-in and out well organized, helpful staff on the phone.

Kitchen sparsely equiped, even for two people.
Several appliances in mediocre condition (washing machine, shower, air conditioners).

All in all, a good deal if you privilege central location and are not too demanding about housing quality."

"We stayed at this appartment in May 2010. The accommodation was every bit as good as the pictures show it to be. We were comfortable and happy with the appartment.However, the area in which it is situated is very rough. Although we never felt threatened, we never felt comfortable in the area. About 15 mins or so walk to Termini station. Would recommend the appartment, but be advised of the area it is in."
